But Java 7 is recommended, it runs the program faster. The program seems to be running but simply in a minimized window…any advice?
The outer desktop window is a standard window and should be able to resized freely like any other window. Is it too small or too large? Any help would be great! Best regards. I have played with fractal flames in other software before, but this is a superb program.
So far I am only playing with changing the parameters and creating still images, and have yet to progress to animation. And the results are beautiful.

I unzipped the download into a folder, jwildfire. I had to change the permissions for start. Then i opened a terminal in the jwildfire folder and ran. It takes a few seconds to start, but it runs beautifully!

Apophysis is a piece of software that renders amazing Fractal images. Not tricky to learn at all, and basically comes with a thousands preset math mixes. And so it goes on. I hope they inspire but the software is a definite if you're looking for something diverse and that no one else will have.

Lovely images. Have you seen the latest 3D flames? Mystica is the only software that I can think of like that right now WOW factor time. Please note that some variable names have been altered from original sources in order to match JW naming, where applicable! This plugin set should be used in its entirety. It's easiest to just rename your old plugins folder and swap back and forth as needed. Most are converted automatically.
Where automatic conversion fails, and no original source has been injected, an empty shim DLL is compiled. Some JW variations won't come across, probably ever--things using layers, heavy 3D features, etc.
This release includes plugins representing the complete set of JWildfire variations.
